BACKGROUND:
Staff will provide the information below to the Senior Advisory Board regarding the Veteran’s Day Celebration.
General Information
Date: Saturday, November 6, 2021 Event Start: 4 p.m.
Event End: 9 p.m.
Location: Farmers Branch Park (park next door to The Branch Connection)
Logistics:
• The stage will be at the north end of the park facing south. The celebration will be open concept, and participants may bring lawn chairs and blankets if so desired. There will be VIP seating on the side front of the stage.
• Parameter barricades will secure backstage and the sides to allow the stage and equipment to be secured.
• Portable restrooms will be placed on the east side of the parking lot facing west of Dennis Lane.
Food Vendor:
Food and Beverage truck vendors will be allowed on site. Vendors will be Nuevo Leon, Old School BBQ, and Texas Corn.
Event Activities:
4:00 p.m.: Open Event, caricature artist, photo booth, food, and beverages open for
guests.
5:30-6:30 p.m.: Straight Tequila Night band performance.
6:45 p.m.: Veterans Day announcement and proclamation with the color guard.
7:30-9:00 p.m.: Toby Keith tribute band performance.
