BACKGROUND:
The Parks and Recreation Department obtained an engineering evaluation of the lights and light poles at the athletic fields at the City's various parks. Based on the engineering evaluation, City staff recommended, and the City Council approved in 2014/15 budget year, to enact a program for the replacement of the City's athletic field lights prior to the expiration of the useful life of such equipment and structures at Oran Good Park. The replacement of the four athletic field lights with Musco poles to light the northwest field at Oran Good Park is the next in the group of lights recommended for replacement.
DISCUSSION:
The Parks and Recreation Department contacted Groves Electrical Services, Inc. to replace four athletic field lights at the northwest field at Oran Good Park. Groves Electrical Services, Inc. provided a contract for such services in the amount of $195,092. Groves Electrical Services, Inc. has performed similar projects for the City.
This item supports the City's core value to invest to maintain and provide high quality public assets.

Budgeted Financial Impact: 2021-2022 Project PK041504, Account 301-752010, $195,092 for the replacement of four athletic field lights at the northwest field at Oran Good Park.

City Administration recommends approving Resolution No. 2022-006 authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with Groves Electrical Services, Inc. to replace four athletic field lights at the northwest field at Oran Good Park.
