Consider approving Resolution No. 2022-062 canvassing and declaring the results of the May 7, 2022 General Election for City Council District 1 and City Council District 4, providing oath of offices; and take appropriate action

BACKGROUND:
The City of Farmers Branch held a General Election to elect one member to City Council District 1 and one member to City Council District 4 seat on May 7, 2022.
DISCUSSION:
The following actions will be taken to canvass and certify the results of the May 7, 2022 General Election:
1. The Mayor reads the canvass statement in Resolution No. 2022-062
2. The City Council approves Resolution No. 2022-062
3. City Secretary will provide Oaths of Office
The Ceremonial oaths of office will be provided at the May 17, 2022 at the regular City Council meeting.
RECOMMENDATION:
Motion to approve Resolution No. 2022-062 canvassing and declaring the results of the May 7, 2022, General Election for City Council District 1 and City Council District 4.
