Discuss and approve Resolution No. R2022-089 to create and appoint members to the Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) for the Citywide Comprehensive Plan update; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
City Council was requested to provide nominations for membership to the Comprehensive Plan Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) at the July 11, 2022 joint meeting with the Planning and Zoning Commission.
The Stakeholder Advisory Committee will include representatives from different community sectors/institutions, community members, and other stakeholders. This group will guide the entire planning process, review draft material, and provide input on the engagement process as it evolves. Staff and the consultants had provided the following recommended structure for the SAC.
Stakeholder Advisory Committee (15-member)
1. Two members from the City Council (2) to be determined at this meeting.
2. Two members of the Planning & Zoning Commission (2)
3. One member each from relevant boards (6)
4. Five community members appointed by City Council members (5)
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends Council appoints the members of the Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) as recommended.
ACTION:
Motion to appoint Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) for the duration of the citywide Comprehensive Plan update.
