BACKGROUND:
As a matter of practice, City Council has excused the absence of a City Council member when a member has a pre-noticed excusable absence. By excusing an absence, the City Council member is not penalized with using one of the three absences allowed in the Charter.
DISCUSSION:
The City Council may wish to consider excusing the absence of Mayor Pro Tem David Merritt from the regular portion of the August, 2, 2022 City Council meeting. Mayor Pro Tem David Merritt was present during Executive Session via Zoom.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the absence of Mayor Pro Tem David Merritt from the regular portion of the August 2, 2022 City Council meeting.
