Review and judge photo contest submissions from the National Park and Recreation Photo Contest; and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
July was National Park and Recreation Month. The Farmers Branch Arts and Culture Committee in partnership with the Farmers Branch Parks and Recreation Board hosted a City in a Park photo contest during the month of July. Photographer categories include Youth (17 and under), Amateur Adult (18+), and Professional. A total of 45 photos from a total of15 people were submitted. Only youth and amateur adult photos were submitted. There were no professional photos submitted. Winning photos from each category will be on display at Farmers Branch City Hall and shared via various City media outlets following the contest.
The Arts and Culture Committee reviewed and took action at the August 17 Committee meeting. The Parks and Recreation Board will do the same at the August 18 meeting. The photos with the most votes from the Arts and Culture Committee and Parks and Recreation Board will be the winning photos. Winners will be notified the week of August 22.
