Public Hearing to receive comments regarding proposed Redistricting Maps for Districts, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

BACKGROUND:
Section 7.10 of the City Charter requires the City Council to appoint a redistricting commission every 10 years to review the Council District boundaries in order to maintain equality of population in each District. In January 2022, the Redistricting Committee was formed and conducted eight public meetings. On July 26, 2022, the Redistricting Committee brought forward their recommendation to the City Council in the form of Redistricting Map No. 7. Since that time, proposed Redistricting Maps 8 and 9 have also been developed. The City Council will be discussing and taking public comment regarding all three proposed redistricting maps.
