Consider approving Resolution No. 2022-107 authorizing the purchase of uniforms and related equipment for the Farmers Branch Police Officers from Galls, LLC. in excess of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00); and take appropriate action.

BACKGROUND:
In FY 2021-2022, the Police Department budgeted $110,600.00 for uniforms and related items. Related items can include police leather gear, handcuffs, ballistic vests, etc. The Police Department orders uniforms for all newly hired police department employees and will collectively spend more than $50,000 with Galls, LLC through Buyboard Contract #670-22, which requires Council approval.
DISCUSSION:
FISCAL IMPACT:
1. All expenditures were previously communicated in the approved FY 21-22 Budget ($110,600 #1014532 620080). There are no new expenditures.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends Galls, LLC. be approved for police uniforms and related equipment items using Buyboard Contract #670-22.
POSSIBLE COUNCIL ACTION:
1. I move to approve Resolution #2022-107 authorizing the purchase of uniforms and equipment.
2. I move to approve Resolution #2022-107 authorizing the purchase of uniforms and equipment, with modifications.
3. I move to table the issue for further study or take no action.
