Title

Presentation of a service award to Jonathan Marett for ten years of service with the City of Farmers Branch.

Body

BACKGROUND:

The Police Department recognizes Jonathan Marett for ten years of dedicated service with the City of Farmers Branch. He began his career with the City in 2013 in the Public Works Department. In 2016, Jonathan was hired as a Detention Officer, where he quickly made a reputation as someone who is fair, conscientious and has an outstanding work ethic. These attributes made him an ideal candidate for Police Officer. Johnathan became a Police Officer in 2018, and he continues his excellence in service. This is evident by his selection as the 2019 Rookie of the Year and the 2021 Officer of the Year. He is on the Department’s bike team and is slated to become a training officer.

Jonathan is married, has a daughter, and enjoys hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling.  Please join me in thanking Jonathan for ten years of service to the community.
