BACKGROUND:
In February of 2024, a female victim was loading groceries into her car when a male suspect stole the victim’s wallet containing her identification, credit cards, and cash. Citizen Rodolfo Garza observed the crime and, after checking on the victim’s welfare, chased the suspect, calling for the aid of bystanders Jhonatan Meneses and Karl Carrasquero. The three were able to catch the suspect and hold him until the authorities could arrive. Due to their bravery, the suspect was arrested. The City of Farmers Branch offers this commendation letter as a thank you for their quick action, integrity, and concern for their fellow citizen.
