BACKGROUND:
The Dallas County Housing Replacement Program assists low to moderate-income homeowners. The county provides a new home up to 1,300 square feet for existing homes that are not economically feasible to rehabilitate. The new home is free for the homeowner who meets certain criteria. Homeowners who have paid off their mortgage and current taxes can apply for the program if they meet income restrictions.
