BACKGROUND:
Staff will present an update on the construction work on Denton Drive north of I635 to Josey Lane and discuss the construction impacts on the possible future of the outdoor Ice Rink.
• Denton Dr. construction to begin the week of March 15.
• Staff working with Stars Center and Economic Development on the possible use of the current ice rink location.
• Cost for an outside vendor to operate artificial ice rink-$140,000 for a 40-day rental.
• (New)Staff has contacted the Pro Glide vendor for the cost of panels.
• (New)Stars would be willing to have it in the same location if land is still available and accessible due to construction. Staff will have to follow up with them and staff to see if this is feasible.
