Receive a report from City staff regarding the cost and potential use of vendor-supplied, 35-gallon, recycling carts in select neighborhoods.

BACKGROUND:

On June 6th, City Council received a report regarding alternative vendor supplied, recycling cart size options for use by residents.  City Council asked staff to obtain more information regarding 35-gallon recycling carts from Community Waste Disposal and bring the information back to City Council for discussion.  This presentation summarizes the potential cost to the City for offering the smaller cart as well as identifies neighborhoods where smaller carts are a reasonable accommodation.
