BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Department is requesting to enter into a contract with Road Master Stripping, LLC for pavement markings at various locations throughout the City. This will be a unit price contract using pricing through a Cooperative Purchasing Interlocal Agreement with the City of Allen. (BID #2018-10-1)
DISCUSSION:
Road Master Stripping, LLC has performed pavement markings for Farmers Branch in the past. This will be a unit price contract using approved funds in the 2018-2019 Public Works Operating Budget. This contract will commence upon execution of the agreement and terminate on January 31, 2021, unless terminated earlier or extended in accordance with the terms of the Allen Contract and provided funds are approved in the Public Works Budget.
This item is consistent with City's Guiding Principles relative to providing functional, sustainable, and well-maintained infrastructure, facilities and equipment.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Budgeted Financial Impact in the amount of $ 110,000.00, using the Street Division's operating budget account 101-4027-630-25-76.
RECOMMENDATION:
City Administration recommends approving Resolution No. 2019-014 awarding a unit price contract to Road Master Stripping, LLC for pavement markings at various location within the City though a Cooperative Purchasing Interlocal Agreement with the City of Allen.
